Default Worklog: Trashed

Trashed Turbo

well you have been following my drawings and ideas here
so i decided, enough planning, and "lets get it on!".

i got a lot of components in the other day, so i could not help going all out and starting on this beast.

taped up and ready to freehand it!

i traced the size to a plexi sheet as a guide for the new floor piece, fan mounts/mobo tray mount, and PSU mount.

ooo, purtty,

top and bottom off.

read on the next post...

Ok, so here is some of the gear!

My now destroyed work area! You must forgive the mess, I am in the process of moving to a new home and everything is getting boxed up and stuff.

Sleeving the Tagan: and let me tell you what... sleeving with one hand is hard as FAck!!!

This is going to be a slow mod, due to my broken 5th metacarpal. Sucks for me. It got crush between a Hummer and a big ass generator-light-cart thing down in Mississippi when I was helping out because of the hurricane. Sucks. At least I got to beat a few looters!

Haha, can you see me trying to cut and stuff with this thing… its sooo awkward@! Shoot, you should see me trying to type this damn worklog!!!!8792987y3r98y^%$@8@! Haha.

Mobo tray time. I had one from a previous mod, that I found would fit just right with a few cuts.

Line this up with the plexi bottom and you got something going on!

Add holes and you get some mounting/fan scews. Dual purpose.

thats all for now.. thanks for following.. and any help would be appreciated!

you should mod your 'platre' (? I don't know the e,glish word for your bandage...), has a nice carbon fiber looking. Seriously, respect on your PSU sleeving, even with two hands mine looked ugly, in despair when't and bought a hiper580... much more easy...

In english it's a "cast"

Hal - Lookin' good! Nice flame sketching. The finish on that trash can is immaculate! It'll look great it it maintains its luster til the end of the mod. May your arm mend itself quickly

Nice start. I all ways say the best mods take time. Make sure you pay attention to detail m8.

Off Topic:

bear brakes? so... are they disk brakes? or... drum? And how does the bear activate the brakes? Or is that the manufacturer's name? ;^P

Just pickin. Seriously though I thought that canadians just spelled beer differently, but then I noticed he misspelled breaks too... or maybe they just spell that differently as well?

Awesome its... so.... shiny... I can't help but.. *smudge* OOOH S***!!!! I messed up your mirror finish!!!!

:^) Keep on truckin'. Did you happen to see Kanye West while you were down there in Mississippi? If so, did you remember to tell him that George Bush has an army and he doesn't? A large portion of which are black...?

Ok, at the risk of being called a heritic, i plan on having the whole thing powdercoated. i do really like the natural super mirror on the stainless, but it just will not fit in the whole theme and look of this mod. maybe, if this one goes well, i will do one all stainless.

not much work done last night. got a bandsaw to cut some plexi. i have some larger pieces and i did not want to be bothered with the scrollsaw. wish me luck, i will be cutting tonight. i have to work all day though...

until next time!
