Hey, guys, I am Rex.

I am wondering if you guys have the expeirence of running apps off a USB drive. I am recently trying to figure out it but failed. Because it seems that you can not make MS office portable and run it off a USB drive.

So I want you ideas about it. Thanks.

I've used the U3 system of USB-based programs before, and there's a version of Open Office you can download and install.

I don't know if that's any help to you?

If U3 isn't your thing, or you can't get it to run*, then you could look at a suite called PortableApps (http://portableapps.com/).
Download and install various free programs on any USB key, and I've found it to work pretty well so far.

It also has a cut down version of OpenOffice

*I have a Sandisk U3 key that I managed to brick whilst upgrading to a newer version, so had to re-format and go with PortablApps instead.

Hi, thanks guys. I just tried with Prayaya (http://www.prayaya.com).

It works with MS offce. But I think portableapps.com is pretty awesome. will be better if it add more apps.
