Hey peeps,

I'm the market for some powerline adapters - Wifi just isn't cutting it for streaming video to my PS3 so I need to go to a wired solution but for a number of reasons I can't run Cat 5 (obviously be my preferred solution) So I'm thinking powerline is the answer. Anyone got any recommendations for me I'm looking at the 200Mb/s jobbies and preferably the ones that have a pass through for the plug. Anything I need to watch out for?

All input gratefully received :wiz:

I have the solwise powerline adapters with pass through and they have been fairly reliable but they dont like being switched off. They chuck out a lot of RMI and turn your ring main into a RMI emitter so it might interefere wiht your neighbours wireless devices.

My mum has a remote RF monitor for her heating oil tank and the powerline adapters stop it from working.

hmm I've read similar things about those Belkin *Gigabit* adaptors - I wonder if this is common to all power line type products...
