You must have seen these OCZ Vertex Turbo SSDs (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/solid_state_drives/ocz_vertex_turbo_series_sata_ii_2_5-ssd)
Well, warpoc spotted a small number of these in 120GB flavour available on amazon just after christmas for ~£90 delivered. Not thinking anything would come of it we ordered some. They were giving a very long despatch time and delivery time, so we kinda forgot about it. He recieved an email on Sunday saying that it had gone out of stock, and could be until May before its despatched. Encouraged by some activity with the order, we still felt like it wasnt going to happen, but remained optimistic anyway.
Mine arrived on Monday! There it was waiting for me to get home from work. Warpoc also recieved his on Monday, well, one of his... he ordered one to ebay too but didnt get it. We were lucky! B)
I quickly installed win7 x64 on it and updated it, then thought id do a very quick reboot test. hit reboot, and waited until everything had populated the system tray and windows completely ready to go.... it took 57 secs! The POST was by far the longest stage in the process!
