I recently accuired a new laptop, nothing special but it works which is more than can be said for my old one.

My intention is to replace the 160 GB drive that came as standard with a 250 GB drive that I have spare, but keep the 160 that is full of makers silly little progs and utillities in tact as I know its a good copy and always handy to have (just in case)

Now for the question :-

I need a copy of Vista Home Premium, I have a genuine product key that came with the laptop so I'm not asking for anything hookey as I belive it is legal to download the installation disk, but where do I go to find a copy I can trust and be sure of it working

You can 'download' the disk via the post I believe, if I've still got your address and can make a copy of my Vista disk.

I'll have a play tomorrow and let you know how I get on, if that's okay for you?

I had a similar problem with the HP/Compaq tablet I got. I called HP and they sent out the image DVD for only $10.00 USD. Dropped it in the drive and in 10 minutes I was back to the default load (and removing a bunch of crap as well) Contact the laptop maker and see if they sell the reload disks.
