Okay, just installed Ubuntu 9.04 and my boot loader the F'd. Instead of creating a new entry in the Vista boot screen, Ubuntu created an entire new boot loader.

Basically I have 3 OS installed. XP, WIN7 and Ubuntu.

Now that my boot loader is F'd, I would like to uninstall Ubuntu and the Linux Boot Loader. How do I do this?

I tried using EasyBDC but it's not even on there. And is it possible to get Ubuntu boot loader onto the Vista Bootloader? Basicaly, have 3 options on the Vista Boot loader.

XP
WIN7
Ubunutu

All in one boot screen. Instead of what I have now which is pretty sad looking.

Anyways, the main deal is, I want to uninstall Ubuntu and get rid of the Linux Boot screen.
Thanks.

Just reinstall the windows one... In XP it involved booting up the CD in recovery mode, and passing the fixmbr command. No clue how it goes on Win 7

or you can just play with grub and get it to display win7 and xp on the boot loader.........

From my experience with linux the boot loader is usually in a separate small partition or in some cases (i think ubuntu does this) the same partition as the linux install. Now saying that removing the linux partition or the partition onwitch the booloader resides would well remove it however im not 100% sure that removing it would allow you to continue booting. Now if your curious grub (last time i check ubuntu used grub) is really easy to configure so you can easily set it up to boot windows.

Here is the short guide from the gentoo install process on how to configure grub. Its easy so dont be scared it wont bite lol

If you wish to use the windows bootloader try running fixboot from the command promt as the administrator in windows. (never tried it but a quick search came up with that so im not sure it will work)
