Hey, my little brothers Acer laptop has started to turn itself off after a minute. The screen fills up with technical writing. Can anyone help?

Is the screen blue with white writing?
That is called a Blue Screen of Death.
If you can tell us what the screen says we might be able to help without having to reinstall windows.
