^^^ And you don't often see Chevy coupes chopped. Apparently its because of the wood reinforcements they used to build older Chevys and the lack of aftermarket parts.
Its sitting on '32 Ford rails and if ya look real close, he did a great job sweeping the front of the rails to get that stance.
The engine's a GMC six and I asked him about the four pipes... he said the outer pipes breath two cylinders apiece... he has baffles in each of the pipes to "keep it kinda quiet".
The carbs are five Stromberg 97's on an old Howard manifold. They're all functional.

I think the grill is mint if you ask me. I like the sweeped up ford grills they use on traditional hot rods, however that flat front makes it look that much better.
I gotta say its one of the most unique hot rodds I have seen in a long time. Very subble and understated unless you look real close, the thing is a masterpice.
@ dutch, he is using 32rails? Must be reproduction 32 rails I guess. Did he roll back that roof? or is that faux? The pistol grip shifter looks awesome too. Is it a 3speed? or a modern trans? Got pics of the pedals and possibly underneath the car? I presume he is using a ford 9inch too? I bet for that size tire he is using some 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Must be a blast to drive. Also did he turn the engine over? does it sound smooth or lumpy? Would be nice if it sounded smooth.

The grille? Its perfection... notice how the grille insert was machined front and back out of a solid piece to make the "mesh"?

The builder even looks the part... he's the guy in the back in the black jacket.

The vinyl covering on the roof is how the Chevy's were built back in the day, I think. It works with his black paint pretty well.
About the tranny and rear end, I just don't know, but I'll wager they're all Chevy parts.
