Need a little inpiration

I've just read a review of the Plextor SATA DVD writer and it looks like a cool option for my rig. However if UI get this I really don't need both DVD and CDRW drive I have atm.

Now the problem is that since I'm using a bezel-less 802, I have to fill each bay and at the moment I can't think of a a suitable option for the spare bay

I have an CrystalFontz, but it is bigger than that and was to be done as an external unit. (Combined display, USB hub and card reader). I already have a fan controller and all sorts of I/O there.

I'm leaning toward a temp display, but the best one I saw is actually a 3.5 unit!

Hmm lets see, I think you named some of them but:

LCD display
Temp Readouts
Cigarette lighter (useful for charging cell phones if you dont smoke!)
Bayres for water cooling
5 1/4 inch floppy drive
Coolermaster Musketeer
Turn one bay into a drawer to hold pens/pencils, etc

I dunno, just throwing ideas out there...:)

I suppose I could use a blank 5.25 panel for a Lian Li as a base unit?

IMHO keep the cd-rw and just use the DVD-RW to burn DVD's and the CD-RW for CD's and watching DVD's, if it's a CD-RW/DVD like mine...wait I think they all are now. I would be wary of having one do it all drive and having the possiblity of wearing it out fast. then again you may not burn vid's to cd's and dvd's nearly as much as i do.

Have any of you seen the bezel on an 802? It's a bit grim.

(Oh fwiw it spent an couple of years under the wardrobe and landed in the bin a couple of weeks ago).
