Sorry no pix, but here goes.

So I recently swapped my rig into a koolance pc2(antec chassis) water cooling setup that I got for free. Had to buy a couple of new parts, and I got a DD maze4 for DFI nf4-expert chipset cooler.

Problem:
I"m not sure if the NF4-SLI DR(my board) has the exact(close at least) chipset location as the expert version, but I had to go with this chipset block for attachment reasons. Problem is that the chipset cooler is a tad too tall. I can't fully insert my top graphics card into the slot. It does work with finagled into place properly, but its just one of those things that irks me.

Does anyone know if the metal top for this cooler is any shorter, or of a good way to lower the profile of the main body of the cooler?

That's the same problem that lead to the developement of SLI chipset coolers.

Unfortunately, outside of modding with hand/power tools, I don'tknow if there's a way to shorten the height (and I'm not very familiar with DD stuff).

**Holy old posting Batman!**

I've got a heatsink for the lady's chipset that's about to meet my dremmel. I dunno how thick the metal of your block is, but you might get a couple of millimeters before you say, "OH SH##!"

...could you dremmel the edge of the videocard? (bad idea, I know, but mine has ~5mm of blank PCB on the bottom edge)

I just read that. You know what it makes me think? Finagle it or buy a different block. Dremmeling through your block is bad. Cutting up videocards to make them fit is bad. Ever seen the pic of the 79xx cut in half to make it fit? ROFL.

Dremel block = not so good but doable
Dremel video card = stupid

There are other SLI chipset blocks that might be better suited for your board. BUt the bottom line is how much is it off by? It sounds like we are talking about a few millimeters, which you might be able to shave off the top of the block.
