I am attempting my first mod, and as part of that, i want to fill in the ugly slots in the bottom of my antec soho server case.
I will also be removing the usb and firewire port, as i dont use them, in the front anyways.
So, what filler bonds to plastic?
As a side note, i will be replacing the power button, and dont know what to do about the reset button?
I was thinking of moving it to the bottom of the bezel where no one can see it, like old school hotrods have a kill switch? There really is no reason to have a reset button visible, just need it accessable(sp) *shrug* :D

I went to my local Auto Zone and was confused as to the two types of paint that are available. Lacquer and Enamel.
What one is the one I want?

I may be wrong but IIRC enamel is harder but laquer will be shinier.. mnpctech will know better.

Ok ok, but i dont know how fast i will be moving, so i might save the pics for when i have some gravy for the meat and potato's :D
Since this thread covers fiberglass and now paint, i was wondering:rolleyes: if i have a lettering/sign guy for automotive's make me a chrome decal, if i can apply that under clearcoats?
Or will the clearcoat bubble the "sticker" ?

Ask your sign maker guy what he suggests. I've used urethane over w/ mixed results. I've been told you should use a waterbase clear.
Theres a product called "Frog Juice" that clears over vinyl on paint. I've never used it though.
FYI: Always experiment on other things first. Never apply Laquer paints or clears over Enamels.. Or vise versa. Paint will lift
