Hey All,
I'm just about done building my WC setup, all I am waiting on is 6/8mm plug n cool tubing. I was wondering, for those of you who do not have a drain valve, how do you empty your wc setup? I'm considering adding a tiny ball valve at the bottom of the loop to make emptying it easier. But if there are techniques out there to do it cleanly and without drenching the inside of the case, then I'll pass on the valve...

I did this with a 1/2" ID barb union and a refrigerator ice maker valve:

I open the valve after popping the cap off my res and out she goes.

Pretty slick, I like that. Another thing I was wondering that you kind-of brought up. I have an Aquatube with a nice o-ring seal. If I pull a plug n cool hose out from the bottom of my loop when it is full, theoretically water shouldn't come gushing out b/c a vacuum is created. It should be like if you hold a straw vertically and fill it with water, then put your thumb over the top and leave teh bottom open. Nothing comes out... Does this actually happen in real situations though?
EDIT: btw, i thought you stole my case for a second. I have an IC7-G with Aska padding under it too^_^

you're on the right track there:
My old one was:

New version:

Change was to allow me to look in another block for testing.
btw the metal fittings it the first allow the valve to valve line to freely rotate so I can drop it to bleed the system.

That's exactly what happens if I open that valve without unscrewing the cap from the res.
