Hello everyone, I am new to these parts. Thought I would stop by and get to know you folks. So why start with small talk, lets get right to the mods:) . LOL.

Well, this is the worklog of a project I am currently working on. As you can tell from the title it is going to be VERY satanic and dark in theme.
This is what it looked like before I started. You can also see the top of the case in this pic. It has a custom cut 120mm fan hole and you can also see where the handles have been cut out.
This is what it looks like in it's current state. There is still alot of work to be done to it. What is left of the Antec grill at the top will be gone this weekend and replaced by a plastic human skull. The skull wil also be molded into the bezel.
Here you can see that I have added a turbine shaft. It will have a fan installed into it.
And please keep in mind that it is still very early on in this project and things will change and of course as I progress they will certainly look better than they do right now.
This is a pic of the top after primer was applied it is just waitng to be painted.
This is a pic of when I was making sure the tubine was going to fit right before I glued it in.
These are some pics that are from the very beginning when I first started working on the front of the case.
These are of the right side panel of the case. These cuts are all going to backed by Modders Mesh. I am currently in the process of cutting out all 4 of the tribal designs. Man it takes a long time to do it.
Here is the case before I drew on the tribals.
Here is the tribal layout.
Here is one of the cut tribals. This has not been filed yet, so I know it looks jagged.
This pic is of the chassis with the tubine hole cut into it. The plan is to have the chassis powder coated a very dark purple color.
The left side of the case actually had an accident with my car and was mangled beyond repair. I was able to get another side, and it is going to have a really kickass pentagram waterjetted into the side. I was going to dremel the pentagram but I decided it would not look as good as I wanted it to, and would take forever.
I will keep you up to date as soon as I get more done. As soon as I finish a piece I will post it.

This is the front with the skull installed and semi finished. You may notice the body filler. LOL
=Sorry for the crappy pics. I took them at night and they came out really bad. I will take some more tomorrow in the daylight. As you can see I have kind of a mock up of how the fan will sit in the front intake.
Here is a pic of one of the fan blades after its second coat of paint. Again I will take some better pics of this as well.

Nice idea! Did the people at the water cutters give you funny looks when you asked for a pentagram?

Actually he didn't. I thought the same thing. He found that the design I wanted wouldn't come out correctly and jumped on autocad and made me a new design that would not only look good but will work.

Hey, dude, if you play that Harddisk backwards, you'll find there's hidden satanic messages on there! :p

Nice mod, in any case. Great work!

LOL @ Nexxo.

Are you lighting the skull?

Are you lighting the skull?
Yes, it will be lighted in some way. And I am seriously considering putting Vandal switches in the upper parts of both eye sockets.

Vandal resistant you mean? How are you with electronics - because hooking up touch sensors to parts of the skull would be quite neat.

Yeah that would be really cool. I am not too bad with electronics. But it is not one of my stronger skills :(. If you have an idea, I am all ears.

the circuit is really quite simple - and all youd need would be a breadboard and a few miscelaneous parts. Put a layer of foil in the sockets or other places you'd want to use as sensors (with copper wire leads on it, of course) and I could hook you up with the 5 channel circuit. The lines would go to +5V when active, and be at 0V when inactive.

As far as driving anything of consequence with them - you'd need relays or MOSFETs. easy enough but I'd have to order them.

OK, I got some painting done over the weekend. The bummer is, the paint can decided to explode all over what I was painting. Here are some pics of the top of the case after being exploded on and sanded. This is the second of 4 coats of paint.

If you look closely you can see 3 big drops of paint that have been sanded down and hopefully will go away after the next coat.

In these two I used a beer can to try and get it to reflect off of the paint.

More to come soon.

LOL, It was the the most reflective can I could find. A Guiness can just isn't shiny.

And about what you said above Star. I may just hit you up about that. Sounds like it could give my case a little more cool factor.

Good.. god.. damn!

I for one, love your style on the bezel work.
Whatever the theme, that's some good modding right there.

Alrighty! I found some time to make a little progress on the project.

Here is the skull, finally done. Except for the top of it's head. I still haven't decided what to do on top of the head. Right now my thoughts are to make it a 4 channel rheobus.

Since I was painting the top, I decided to go ahead and paint the top part of the front bezel. I was able to get 2 coats on to it before I ran out of paint. But this is what it looks like at the moment. I am going to sand it tomorrow so, sorry for the ugliness.

I finished the 5th coat on the top of the case and I think I am going to stop there. Tomorrow this will be sanded as well, and then shined. It took forever to take out all the marks on it that were left by the paint can exploding on it. But it came out alright in the end.

And here is the top with it's handles in for a test fit.

Hopefully I will have more pics for you tomorrow of something that is actually done :)
