If you got one of these systems and have just gone am2 first thing is the clip will not fit despite what your are told problem is 745/940 clip in the kit is only the 2 hole job is no good as am2 is 4 hole much like a 775 Intel setup but the am2 is wider spaced so heres your mission should you choose to accept it :h34r:

ruler , thin permanent marker ,hacksaw ,small file ,dremmel with 3mm drill and cutting disks ,vice or something to hold while you work (metal gets hot when its being machined) 4 x 60mmx4mm bolts and 8 matching nuts ,4 washers to fit bolts not to big ,4 plastic washers, 4 p4 type retention springs, the included t/take Intel big H bracket and the k7 H bracket 2 m3 screws (also from the kit)

measure one of the Intel clips and mark the center and cut in half

use some spare bolts and tighten them together so you have a "T" use the furthest away end holes and the center one (this ensures symmetry when you start your cuts)

you need to cut 3 slots about 10mm long first one its the water block mount
drill a second 3mm hole 10mm from the end of the predrilled one toward the cut end and join with a dremmel or similar this is your adjustment slots
now the other 2 join the 2 predrilled holes furthest away next to the ones you bolted diagonally to make 2 more slots one on each side tidy up with a small file

take your copper block and line up the slots with the screw holes one for each side get the k7 H plate from the kit and using it as a clamp screw it down over your new bracket but not all the way

take the long m3 screws and thread them in the clip mount holes in the motherboard keeping the original plastic rear plate and lock down the blot with a plastic washer and nut repeat till you have 4 mounting posts
using the old retain fan frame sit you bock/mount assembly and line up and center then tighten the 2 screws

assemble everything together and take the 4 p4 type springs and slip over the screw posts with a washer then nut

tighten up gently !!! i would say opposing corners like 1 4 2 3 sort of idea to get the balance

and thats it till theres a upgrade bracket on the market can get one in Australia apparently but uk dealers haven't a clue when i asked them

lol btw please excuse typos never done one of these before and hope it helps also sorry about lack of pics drawings but hopefully its pretty self explaining

cheers

Thanks for the information, but most users here wouldn't touch any Tt water cooling kit with a 3m pole

They aren't THAT bad but they aren't worth the money. You can do better on air than you can in that.
