Hi, i'm asking you lot as you all seem to know what your doing and the fact is i don't lol. Could some one tell me what i could get for £130 water wise? i mean like pump. block etc. Some more info is that it will be for a AMD XP and you can't screw the block into the block :(.
Just one last thing i know this is the wrong forum, but does anyone know where i can get a dual mobo for AMD?
Thanks for all your time :)

you can't screw the block into the block :(.
Do you mean the block into the board?
Are you wanting to cool your GPU and NB too? Do you have room for a 1*120mm Rad or 2*120mm or even 3*120mm?
The more information you give us the better the advice you will recieve. ;)

If I'm reading you right...
... the NexXxoS XP uses SHD mountings and doesn't need mounting holes or removal of the mobo to fit. There's a killer block right there (you'll need to specify fittings but I can help with that if/when we settle on the rest).
£35ish plus fittings
Black Ice Pro is a cheap 'n' cheerful low noise rad at
£25 plus fittings
Pumps I have from £20 but would recommend either spending a bit more and getting a 1048 or hassle me for one of the ex-test ones I have here.
£25-35ish plus fittings (if you want to do it properly)
Fan - 120mm. I only do Papst I'm afraid. You can source cheaper but this is the noise source for most people, so I'll pencil it in
£20ish
Fittings & hose - I'd recommend 10mm pushfit all round and some of my 10/7mm PUR PE as the best introductory kit for a first timer to work with.
Reckon I could tie up the loose ends for the odd
£20-25 that's left over... :)
No Res for now but that's always something you could add later (or wait for my forthcoming Fill&Drain kit over the next coupla weeks).
Food for thought, I hope.
Will look back in after other contributions to see what I forgot. :D
Hope it helps. :)

£35ish plus fittingsThe Innovatek block uses a clamp with P4, AMD, AMD64. It is an older block and is expensive. The NexXxos outperforms it with a lower price.
Black Ice Pro is a cheap 'n' cheerful low noise rad at
£25 plus fittingsThe Maxxpert radiator was packed with many watercooling systems nearly two years ago. It 's nice looking, and I have no idea on thermal performance, I do know that Innovatek no longer uses these and now makes their own, whith a very different design. The Black Ice Pro is cheaper and might be a better rad for the money.
Pumps I have from £20 but would recommend either spending a bit more and getting a 1048 or hassle me for one of the ex-test ones I have here.
£25-35ish plus fittings (if you want to do it properly)That kit uses a 1048, Pug reccomends a 1048, either is great. If Pug reccomended it, I'd jump in the boat with it...
Fan - 120mm. I only do Papst I'm afraid. You can source cheaper but this is the noise source for most people, so I'll pencil it in
£20ishI know nothing about the YS Tech fan, but if you need to cut cost, you can use ANY fan on the market with the CFM rating you want. Pretty easy. Pabst is nice for the money, so are Panasonic Panaflo fans.
Fittings & hose - I'd recommend 10mm pushfit all round and some of my 10/7mm PUR PE as the best introductory kit for a first timer to work with.
Reckon I could tie up the loose ends for the odd
£20-25 that's left over... :) Innovatek uses 10mm (or is it 8mm?) compression fits, those require you to wrap the hose around a barb and then screw the cover on so the hose is tightened. Not as nice as pushfits, but it works. Tygon is soft and bendy, but it's a premium for the price, if you're on a budget, forget the Tygon.
No Res for now but that's always something you could add later (or wait for my forthcoming Fill&Drain kit over the next coupla weeks). The Innovatek "inline" res is an AGB-O-Matic attached to the intake nozzle of the 1048. Those are pretty cheap, and adding one down the line would be easy, plus they come in more colors than black. I use a Tank-O-Matic plug on for filling so I don't need to tip the computer to fill my Aquatube. The fill and drain kit Pug will have will allow you to use it to easily fill and drain the water when needed with no res, or even with one, because draining is hard no matter.
Food for thought, I hope.
Will look back in after other contributions to see what I forgot. :D
Hope it helps. :)Pug's kit is clearly a better choice than that Innovatek kit.

Depends on the board. There's the Asus A7M266-D (no mounting holes), the Iwill MPX2, the Tyan Tiger MPX S2460 series and the MSI K7D Master-L.
The most overclockable dual Athlon mobo is the MSI K7D Master-L. Your best bet for that one is Scan Computers (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=20127) who had one a few months ago (ignore the pic, it's the red one). Unfortunately they are now out of stock and I'm not sure they'll get one again. It is not sold anywhere else at moment.
It (and the other boards) will still pop up on ebay however, as second hand components often bundled with a set of MP CPUs.

That's simple, save up and buy when you're ready. ^_^

i brought the kit from that person. I know it's not the best on the market, but i just need something to get me started into water cooling :). I have two questions tho:
One: Where could i get 1/2 barbs for that step up? i'm not 100% what it is at the minute, but i want 1/2 :)
Two: what do i need to do now? how much water etc do i need? i don't really know much :( sorry

If by that setup you mean the Innovatek one, it's not designed for 1/2", it's for 1/4". AlphaCool makes 1/4" to 1/2" bsp barbs and since Innovatek uses 1/4" bsp they will fit fine. You would then need to replace every compression fitting for a 1/2" barb, but it wouldn't be a true 1/2" system. All you need now is distilled water, some anti corrosive agent and dye if you want it, if not then skip it. Just add the water to the reservoir, turn the pump on and fill until the entire system has water. Afterwards you need to remove the air from it, and do this by opening the reservoir cap and move the compnents around, your goal is to make any air bubbles move to the reservoir so they can escape. The directly on reservoirs seem to get the job done faster. After that is completed, let it sit for a while to make sure there are no leaks. If there are, try to figure out what's causing the leak and then try to remedy it.
How much did it cost and what did you sell to buy it? If you had wanted a true 1/2" system, you should have looked for deals on that sort of stuff, you could have gotten a lot more for way less of a price. All you needed was a good block ($50 tops), a heatercore for a radiator (cheap, depending on where you buy them, probably $30 at the most), hose for not very much and any high flow pump. When you pay the extra to convert this one to 1/2" you're now limited by the very nature of these blocks, simply because they aren't designed for high flow, and there's no point, unless you just want bigger tubing.

1 - I may be able to sort you out there. :) I've barbs to fit Inno stuff suitable for both 1/2" ID & OD.
2 - hit Halfords up. 'Tis about £3 a gallon (or 99p a litre) for distilled/deionised
My loops tend to hold around 500ml each for reference (but will depend on res size, obviously)

pug how much would the barbs be? From memory, I think they were around £2.50 for the 15mm ones w/integral O-ring.

are these on the site?Nope, the only ones listed are these:
G1/8 10mm barb hose stud fitting ac....90009....£2.15
Which wouln't work anyway, because you're after the 1/4" barbs.

does anyone know where i can buy a Innovatek block in the UK? i got a cpu and other block with my set up, which can be used as n/b or GPU so i don't know which to use it as. I got a z block of some one so if anyone on here would like to trade that would be great :)
