Any old Mustang fans here? I really like what Ford has planned for the 2005 models. Looks like a nice retro restyle

The 2005 V6 Mustang will have a 4.0L SOHC V6 with 200 horsepower at 5400 RPM and 235 pound-feet of torque at 5000 RPM. They will come with standard 16" wheels. An Exterior Sport Appearance Package will be an option, and will include a rear spoiler and sport tape stripe on the lower rocker.

The GT will have a 4.6L OHC 3V V-8 with 300 horsepower at 6000 RPM and 315 pound-feet of torque at 4500 RPM. They will come standard with a rear spoiler, but a spoiler delete option will be available. They'll have 17" wheels standard with an option to upgrade to 18s

Is it me or did they tone down the car from the concept? It doesn't look quite right..Still a handsome looking car though :)

I'm no Ford guy (but love their pre-war schtuff), nonetheless, this is a very nice design. Beautiful, crisp lines.

Carroll Shelby 0wns me for design skillz.
(A mate named his daughter Shelby out of tribute to the guy, now that's what I call influence!)

That last pic of the 2005 Shelby is almost reminiscent of an older Aston Martin (Vantage?) to me at first glance.
It must be the class oozing from it or something. B)

I used to have a Mustang (modded) with a soft top conversion, a 3.0L V6 lump and a 5spd manual floor shift (fuel economy dictated) but it was totally impractical for me at the time (with my new daughter), even if it was a blast to drive.

Wow, Pug your stang looks really sweet `74 - `78 Mustang II eh? We only 2.8 liter V6s @ 105hp.. The Brits always got the nicer Fords and still do today! :)

I had neighbor with this `76 Cobra. It was such a sweet little ride. Of course Farrah Fawcett made it famous as her car on the "Charlie's Angels" TV show :D
