Does PCI express run like this?:
1 16x pci express card run at 16x
2 16x pci express cards run at 8x each

ASUS P5ND2-SLI MOTHERBOARD
4X SAMSUNG SPINPOINT 80GB SATA II
PENTIUM D 840 DUAL CORE
ANTEC SUPER LANBOY
4GB G-SKILL DDR2
ANTEC 550W PSU

Not in all motherboards, but for certain in the first lot of SLi boards to appear. As for the P5ND2-SLI, I have a feeling it's one of those boards.

some newer SLI boards have a true 16x system where both cards run at 16x, as to how much better they are I'm not sure.

Thanks for the quick reply. Even though its printed on my motherboard pciex16_1 and pciex16_2 i heard somewhere that both may run at 8x each if that is the case how silly is that and what performance would be gained from having 2 cards? once again thanks

i think i will be buying a single nvidia 7900 in that case cant see the point in getting 2 cards
