Hi guys...

Things have been a bit quiet from me since I joined here (I lurk, not post - sorry, I know its rude to not contribute  ). So, lets change that, shall we?

Things have been continuing apace with my first "proper mod" for public consumption, and it's about reached a stage where i feel i have about enough done to be worth showing... thing is, i'm not sure of the best 'accepted' way to do it.

Any advice from all you lovely veterans on how to make a start? e.g. Should I prepare a handful of posts to start it off, or upload what I've done so far bit by bit?

Lastly, where? Here or at Bit-Tech (I've lurked BT for years, but I like it here too. Its cosy! )

Cheers in advance peeps,

rebelbrethren

Welcome to WizD!

Just observe how everybody else does their logs and implement what you like into your own style B)

Start with the best, g-gnome and Zapwizard not only have impressive mods, but their worklogs are very detailed.

My advice, don't take on more than you can chew (update) This has been my biggest problem. I've start all sorts of worklogs and can never find time to update them. I've discovred Worklogs can take equally as much time as modding itself.

Hehe.

My advice is do it here (since we're all such lovely people!) and just work at your own pace. If people want to see more, I'm certain they/we'll ask for it.

You can always post it at other sites when it's complete.

I like the "bit by bit" approach.

As far as where to post, I'd just say take a guess at what your hosting can take.

I post pics here only, mainly because the bandwidth gets a reasonable battering from this. God only knows how quickly my monthly allowance would be swallowed up if I posted at bit-tech http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/blink.gif

(And also my mods are more small cosmetic touches that just happen to take me forever ;), rather than the huge mods that Bit-Tech houses)

lol, yea, one of my big worries right there! I've got some stuff written already, and some pictures, but I want to get some bettter pics (whats a worklog without pretty pics!).

I like the idea of doing it here - on Bit-Tech there are so many logs already, many of them of such extremely high quality that people may not even notice my 'little' log. Plus I want to support WizD - you guys have a great little community here. So, it'll definately be here.

People will have to be patient with me though - This mod is a bigg'un... it's going to take some time to complete. Almost nothings stock, I've modded everything I could to get to, and will continue to do so. Add that to the fact that finances and other commitments mean that the modding with have to happen in sporadic bursts.

But still, all things considered, woo-hoo! My first (proper) log! Wish me luck?

I'll probably put the first part up later today, and update after the weekend.

Cheers everyone!

Just post what you want us to see when you want to. Don't feel pressured into giving any updates when they're not ready.

We're all friendly here!! :D
