I think I found the problem...

I was at work the other day when a couple brings in an e-machines to have repaired. They comment on how this is the 3rd or 4th time that it has quit, and every time it has been the power supply.

Smelling something fishy i start poking around. I opened the case to find spiderwebs, roaches, etc. Very nasty system. Sorry no pics of that part of it.

On a hunch I opened the power supply and removed the board...

To my suprise the bottom was burnt to a crisp...right under the caps.

a roach...He may have destroyed the power supply, but he won't be making a comeback tour anytime soon :wiz:
