My boss wants to use the PC to send and recieve fax's at work, I've told him it's a waste of time as te PC is only on for a few hours a day and there is a fax machine sitting next to it on the desk, but he's the boss and he knows best.
So hows it done, i.e. what do we need to set it up.
I'm guessing it will need a modem as it only has a wireless broadband link to the computer shop a couple of doors away at the moment.
Any suggestions.

Surely you'd require a scanner and printer aswell? Or am I just stating the obvious there.

In XP... Settings > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes... I've only used it with a modem, but its worked fine that way. But... since I have to turn it on each time, I tell people we don't have one unless its really important.
edit to fillip... printers and scanners... you don't need 'em if the stuff you generate is from the 'puter and if you don't need hard copies of the stuff recieved...

Thought that might be the case. :thumb:
Either way, you've got it covered.

Tried it out and it says I need a modem, I'll have to hunt through my junk box and find one.
