They look pretty cool, nice to see an iPod that isn't white for a change :-)
Nice choice on tuneage by the way, one of Slipknot's more melodic tracks for sure!

Sadly Both are Skins, We Havnt(We meaning ipod Community) been able to paint an ipod and make it look good, we've all tryed, they come out looking terrible

How the heck can you mod the software of an iPod? I just got a 60GB and I like it a lot but if I could press and hold a button to cycle through shuffle/repeat/repeat+shuffle that'd be great... can i do it?

No There Really Isnt, So Far in Ipod Modding We've been Able to Change The Firmware, concerning, Graphics, Fonts and Strings, and hacks like taking music off your ipod onto a friends computer, We've also been able to change the OS from Apple Ipod OS to Ipod Linux OS, Which is Tricky, because usually 1 and 6 ipods will complete the installation of it. I noticed zer0 achieved it, i am a two time failure of it, :( but i dont think anyone will mind me posting the hacking site since its not a competitor of PC modding, www.ipodwizard.net

Is it not possible to coat the outer metal (plastic too) in a primer? then you could paint that? Bill (MNPCTech) might know of some kind of paint to do the job

Well the Mini Was a metal case around it, everything else had a plastic front and metal back, and the new 5th generation ipods have that weird clear/black front and metal back, but im talkin about when we paint it, it just looks bad, The ipods are so small it is sooo hard to get into detail, so most modders go to paintin cases or designing and printing skins,

Rather than start a new thread over one small question I will just ask you.:D
What do you think of the Ipod video? Is it worth the money? The reason I am looking at it is because of the capacity. The nano won't get me through a single shift at work and the video has well....video.

I Think its kind of worth it, well atleast for me it is, Im a junior in high school, I use it during breaks and lunch, and i also use it as an external hard drive for school papers and documents, i tend to watch the videos on long drives down to my mothers and or at school when its just a slack day, i mean i have 674 songs, ten episodes of pure pwnage, and three full length movies and i out of the 30gbs it has i have 20.2 gb left! i also have about 19 pictures on it too, I believe it depends on the persons life style, now i do listen to it during my pc assembling and modding, for those long hours.

Working between 8 and 9 hours Monday through Friday at my jobs get boring and the music they play drives me nuts. I was looking to fill it with songs and some shows to watch when I am on break. I'm planning a trip to Florida with my friend and we are driving so that would be nice to have something other than music.
I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

well $300 isnt so bad once u think about it, its actually a good deal, look at this way, the nano is $200 it can hold a max of about 1000 songs, but for $100 more, you can make it hold 7500 songs and play videos and show pictures, ect
