hi guys

i have two old chipset heatsinks, i wondered what i should do with them/what you do with them ? also what too do with the larger cpu heatsinks too. can they be re-used or will they be cpu matched. i thought about using them on my ram chips/gpu ram

Yes :thumb: you can cut up old HSs for cooling all sorts of misc parts on a mobo etc. Keep them, you never know if they will come in handy.

thanks fillip your a star :D

i cut up one of the old chipset sinks and just need tape too fix in place. what would you guys say is a better heatsink.

thick based

thin based

i have two like i said one is a chipset heatsink and the other (1hr searching) ends up being a small very low profile cpu heatsink (black slide clips), that slides onto a intel DX range cpu

ya the top uses are for the pwmic's(the caps, mofsets, etc that handle power to the cpu, ram, etc), southbridges, and videocard ramsinks.
