i am new to these forums and this is my first post, obviously. i am modding an AMS mid tower. i purchased all the goodies to go with it. i bought a 3.5" fan controller, here it is (http://store6.yimg.com/I/svcompucycle_1801_222549198). my question is what kind of led's should i buy and do i need to replace the resistors?

What color are the existing LEDs? The resistor they need varies with their neccessary forward voltage and forward current... need to know this.

Measure the LEDs, are they closer to 3mm across or 5mm across (diamter). Pick the closest one.

I get my LEDs from www.LSDiodes.com - good place & good prices. Select ones of the color you want (post here, I can tell you the resistor if you tell me what you're getting). My personal preference is a wide angle LED, the indicator shows up better from all angles that way. Especially if there is no diffuser lens in/on the LED.

If you get the green ones on this page: http://www.lsdiodes.com/3mm/

you shouldn't need to change the resistor. Just swap the parts.
