That's quite a meepster. I've got dogs and I've got a Dragon. I had fish, but they were mean and then ate eachother

My dragon can be feisty, unless I approach with food in hand. Usually dragons start out tame, but mines a German Giant mix, so that agression comes with size too. Soon she'll be 30" and supposedly nicer, as long as I play with her and feed her well. Go here: http://www.sundialreptile.com/ and look at all the pretty dragons, amoung other animals. I bought mine there, for $60, she was the cheapest one because her color wasn't as "nice" as the other ones. Now she's stunning and has lots of orange and pink, and well as a nice pattern. I have a snakle too, a western hognose, but she's burrowed in her cage somewhere and hasn't been seen since last week, when she ate a nice frozen-thawed hopper mousey.

Ooh, confused identity animals are neato too. I take it that carps are mean? So that one letting a human touch it is unusual? Maybe it realizes that it's easier to be hand fed than having to exert itself by grabbing food away from the other fishies. ^_^

I have two jack dempsey's in a 55 gallon tank and the larger one acts like your carp did. He eats out of my hand, will jump from the water to catch food. He even gets excited when he sees me and turns dark black to make his stripes stand out and his irridescent blue scales. You get quiet attached to them and don't even realize it. His name is Digger. He got that name because when I first put him in his new home (he was a little 2" baby at the time!) he spent his first night digging up all my artificial plants and moving them where he wanted them to be.

My condolences on your loss.

thats great. Up at the local lake marina they have a no fishing zone around the docks because they've wound up with at least 100 carp that are now HUGE because people will buy popcorn and feed them constantly.

Quite literally you can dump a small bag of popcorn into the water and they will JUMP ON TOP OF ONE ANOTHER to get to the popcorn. You will literally have fish out of the water slurping to get the popcorn.
