Hey all,
I've just bought the thermaltake bigwater SE cooling system that comes with the M3 5 1/4" drive bay tank. In addition to this I have the thermaltake aquabay M1 flow meter and level indicator that fits in 2 5 1/4" bays
.
The question is, should I put the M1 above or below the M3?
Cheers

hmmmm... you might want to put all bits in this kind of order
the reservoir->pump->rad->block in any wanted order next... (usually ppl put cpu->gpu->nb) ->the flow meter thingy ->reservoir

I think you'd want the M1 above the M3.
Conventional wisdom sticks your res at the highest point, and you're also gonna get your waterlevel indication.

The M3 is the reservoir, not the M1 :)
The thermaltake site doesn't have an instructions on installing both together, but it does have a picture of what they look like installed together, with the M3 above the M1, so that's my best bet so far

well... the M1 has a small reservoir(they just call it water level indicator) so I think that could cause some trouble...

The M3 is the reservoir, not the M1 :)
Sorry - I took one look at the M3 and figured it as a drive-cooler :duh:
As AWACS has hinted - having two reservoirs might not be so good for your flow.

The M1 is more of a level indicator than a fillable reservoir

yeah... but it acts like a reservoir in the loop... kill da flow... so if you wanna use both I'd suggest this order to hurt the flow as little as possible
reservoir->level indicator/reservoir->pump-> and then the usual setup... though this might make your flow indicator show bollocks

Having 2 reservoirs isn't all that bad actually. I ran a filltank on my Eheim 1046 level pump and an Aquatube. I don't know what my flow level was, but I had no problems with my loop (3 blocks and a dual 120mm radiator). Mine went fillank, pump, block (x3), raddy, Aquatube - repeat.
