I was googling around trying to get ideas for my case, and came across several mentions of KoolPCMods.com. I loved the laser etchings i saw, and thought that would be a great way to put one of the images on my case that I'm planning on doing, as opposed to 3 airbrushed images. Unfortunately, the site is no longer there, and i can't find any reference to what happened to them!
Does anyone know where they are now? If they're gone for good, can anyone recommend a company that does top notch custom laser etching?

I'd presume they went under like the many other great resellers
Some of my old friends
ZxMods
2CoolTek
PCMutants
I can tell you exactly what happened to 2CoolTek. His wholesale supplier (whom I won't name) opened an online store and would undercut his own distributors. Meaning they would sell their distributor a part @ wholesale cost of $5, then turnaround and retail it a month later @ $5
Down right dirty
I imagine the other guys went onto other things or got sick of playing the profit margin game..
This is why I've always strayed away from the normal case mod products.

ouch, that does suck. damn, and from what i've seen, Kool did some awesome laser etching. I'll have to keep hunting i suppose. This bettie page image would look downright slick laser etched into my window. Now that i've seen what they can do, i can't imagine any other way to go about it! Ack!

well, i couldn't see anything on their website other than a blank page under "design your own" i'll try to contact them tomorrow.
i did, however, find a site that does very nice custom windows. www.hyperkore.com. i just emailed them with my window specs, in hopes of getting some more information. if anyone wants, i'll post their response. i've got a thermaltake armor case, and the window is far from standard, so hopefully they can take my window and do a good job with it!

www.mountainMods.com does laser cutting and etching of plexi.
Contact Ben there... he's always done me right in my ATTN2Detail mod.

Yeah... not sure why Ben doesn't publish it is a more readily avaiable place... however, in his shopping cart he has the following:
http://mountainmods.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_34&products_id=72
He has it.

found it. thanks again zittware. my case is going to be a bit more difficult than just sending them a graphic tho. the window in my case is a bit odd, so whoever i get to do it, i'll probably have to send them the window and have them ship it back. but no biggie. :)
i'll let you know what they say
