Woot!

3 OLED keys. Still not for sale yet. I can so see modding one of these into my case, or desk, and I pray to god I can get good program support for displaying stuff on them (samurize would be a good start, maybe.)

Man that looks pretty sweet, yeah slot that into a whole in ya desk and that would look great with maybe a bit of clear plexi over it.

I hope you mean like a hinged cover or something, because wouldn't covering it in plexi defeat the purpose of having it? :D

yeah on a hinge, so you could cover it up to work over it, writting a letter etc (letter:wacko: )

Hey...

According to the circuit board silkscreen on this page it looks like the keys can be seperated from the board. Now I can see making these touch sensitive and embedding them at strategic locations w\in the chassis... WOOT.

If you figure out how, I might just be persuaded to buy a few of them.........

I'm tempted to email them and ask for a beta...

$100 each... $33.33 a key... now that is frickin expensive....

If i could run it as Power, Reset buttons that change into Usage/temp displays then maybe... But I think they might be too small to be usuable... better to use a small tft.

Just one?!?!

The easy path that they've given us making the OLED screens detach from the main controller board.... I hope it's as easy as the outline makes it out to be. I also hope that there software is expandable, meaning all the plugins have to do is output a bitmap (either via file or via an API) and it'll display them.

.... still wetting self over this....

I cant wait! If the API / SDK / Software Supplied is open in any kind of way I will make a VB program to allow me to do anything.

Im with Star on the dismantling, I already did something similar with a PS2 controller adapter, using the base board and mounting it in the case to allow me to use it. Imagine having it as a system monitor (as in my previous post) with a 5 1/4 bay mount.... slurp .... sorry cant stop salivating at the thought...

Quick job in Sketchup...

I want one too. But what I would do is make the same shape shell of the case and make it so I can clamp it into a drive bay and when I want detach it and put it right next to my keyboard.
