Sup all, I have an old Amiga 500, looks like this (http://www.tech-x.org/a500.jpg), not my exact one but they all look about the same. I plan to paint it, probably black, possibly with another color fading into it. Change the leds red or blue, etc. The #1 problem is I need to paint the individual keys for it to look at all good. I have seen some real old keyboard mods, before we ever had any cool saitek or logitech keyboards, where they had spray painted the whole thing and then affixed individual printed decals to each key, I'd hate to have to do that but it seems like it'll be my only option. Unless there is some way to paint keys and retain the lettering, but I doubt it. Anyone have any advice on what to do?
Thx

Depending on the color you paint the keys, you can get rub on lettering. Time consuming but effective.
If you do put a PC in it, keep the original keyboard. get a model M and trace out the connections so you can conect the model M's controller to the atari board.

PC in it? :-( Heh, actually since Amigas are pretty rare these days I want it to just be a modded amiga, not a pc in an amiga case.
Thanks :thumb:

heh aww, well i have a 500 and an amiga 1200, which ive recently bought a scandoubler for so that i can use it on my regular 19" sony crt. I also got a CF card to pcmcia converter and can easily transfer files between my pc and amiga on any size CF card.. pretty cool setup :) i just need to dig out some of my old games

if you want to keep the original letters on the keys try masking fluid with a brush.

Just run an Amiga emulator on your PC. Works pretty well for most games. :thumb:
