hi,
i am thinking about placing an LCD screen in the window of my pc. i am wanting to frost the window so that when the pc is off it looks as though it is a side panel with a dark window, does any one have any ideas as how to do it.
thanks

If you want it to look dark don't you mean you want it tinted - like the tinted windows you find on cars? Makes more sense to me than frosting.

I take it you already have a window in your case? If so, why not look for a window tinting kit for a car? Halfords will have them and from what I remember seeing previously, you get the film, gloves and a squidgy(sp?) for applying the tint film properly. Then all you need is a water diffuser for sraying a fine mist of water and a drop or washing up liquid in with the water. :thumb:

You have to take your time though and make sure you have plenty of room, otherwise it'll turn out badly.

Some black window tinting, any will do, will work wonders there. You will be able to see through it when the computer is on, but when it's off it should be pretty seamless with the rest of your case.

I think i'd rather buy smoked plexi and be done with it. Mount the LCD behind it and it should show through pretty well.

That'd be my first choice and the easiest, windows tint is a pain in the arse to apply properly.
