i went into the main town today and i just picked up a good working spare for cheap
so give me a day or two and i`ll completley strip out my main phone and the spare i bought cause i need to change some stuff like the screen anyway
i`ll see if i can get a cool keypad and a carbon cover
if not i`ll be spraying it
there will be pics galore for those with the motorola V500

You sure that's hardware modding Matt?
I only had a brief look but it seems to be software-based, mostly.

It is, it's primarily V3 centric but has other handsets lurking there somewhere. I think Matt might have found that one when looking for skins and files for his phone (there's a video enabling flex file on there which is quite nice)

the tools you`ll need are a very small screw driver
a torx screwdriver for the screws on the phone and a guitar plectrum
not an obvious choice but you need it all the same

locate the screws and theres 2 under the rubber pads in the shoulder of the phone,
use the very small screwdriver to lever the rubber pads out
and unscrew the screws with the torx screwdriver

the next thing is to get the plectrum and manouver it under the body to push it over the clip
do this on both sides at the same point and it`ll just come off reall easy

with the back off just pull the body very slightly to release the metal part that holds the sim
