I am serious, I always read about people getting thier rigs published, and I am confused if there is a way you send it into the mag or if they find you our though the forums. Forgive me for being a knuckle head

You want to know how. Its easy when you see it in paper but it super hard.
You need a crazy idea
You need the money to start building it
You need the time to work on it
You need to be very detailed
You need a work log
You need your work log on many sites
You need to be a good modder
You need some key thing that blow the pants off your readers
You need every update it be crazy
And also the e-mail addy of the mag, found in first few pages or the index of said mag.
Good luck cause you going to need it to get into a mag.
*With 34 post he is still a mod newbie, be easy on him
Cheebs that is funny, can you really fit your laptop in a time mag?
Fillip its a newbie question.

Fillip its a newbie question.
I am not a newb, I have been modding for about two years now, I only have one official case under my belt because of money being tight, I have been on Gruntville since July 04, I am just now expanding to other sites, right now only Grunt and this one. In respects to skill I would have to say I am no where near many of the stuff I see, but I am better than the average newb.
The reason I asked the question is that I never really knew or cared to know, but I recently saw a very simple plain case mod in a mag and I was like 'my computer is like ten times better', so I was just wondering how it is that some of the simple plain stupid mods get in and then you have the crazy off the wall sh!t your pants mods get in too.

cause not everyone can afford crazy off the wall mods,
sometimes they keep it simple for the beginner maybe
just a thought

Well with all my mods, I am more about the clean and simple, and good. I am not one to get into much sculpty or anything like that, I just like to do clean mods, I think my simplicity mod is a good example of it, and hopefully when I start my gf comp you all will see that too.

I would say email the editor (or other applicable email addressed published in the magazine) with a couple of pics would probably be the best bet.

I'm not sure I like the plethora of 'newb' comments getting bandied about lately - comes across as presumptuous if you ask me... :eyebrow:
VA - are you US-based? You don't have your location specified.
In the UK, CustomPC runs a regular feature where they actively encourage peeps to submit their mods (that's how mine got in).
The only mag I can remember being contacted by was GigaHz (I have issue 0, somewhere) but it turned out that I think they were angling to sell me ad space, so I ignored 'em.
Email to the editor(s) with some choice pics seems to be the best suggestion so far. :thumb:
