here im gonna post some pics of my mod, RexVolution 1.0 , i started this projects a couple of month ago, im doing it kinda slow because i only do this stuff on my weekends , the first thing that i did was cut the front vezel, then i cut some pieces of plastic and glue it to the front bezel.
Next step , i cut a hole and glued a pieze of pvc pipe in the center , then i filled the other side of it with resin to give it more structure.
Then i applied some filler all over it , trying to smooth all the edges.
After hours of design, i printed the template for the side and the top window, i cut it to see how it was gonna look. Once i was ready to cut it i was decided to send it to somebody to cut it for my, but nobady replied my mails requesting quotes , so after a couple week, i decided to cut it myself, so i grabbed a dremel and, u can see the results, i saved a lot of money and i think it looks awesome.
then i spent some more time designing some fan grills, then once i printed them cutt them i seen how they were gonna look, i sent the designs to a friend that has a laser cutter , and he made them out of 1/8 acrylic, they loolk sweeet.
im gonna post more pics this weekend.

nice start on the mod. What is that you are using for the fan guards?
For the pic hosting try Photobucket. (http://www.photobucket.com/) All you need to do is register and upload your pics. Then you can use the IMG tags to post the pics. I do suggest resizing them to 800X600 resolution to cut down aon file size and it makes them faster to load. Keeps everyone from having to scroll around to see the pic as well.

Make sure you use an etch primer first. Otherwise it will all peel off and destroy your nice work.

you mean , to prime the front vezel or the metal parts, im gonna paint the hole computer with house of kolor urethane system paints, and im gonna prime it with an epoxy primer , u think this will work??? i dont know if HOK has an etching primer

today i finished the acrlic side panel , i cut the acrlic and to give it a factory made look y sanded all the edges so it looks like it was made with a mold:cool: , i think im gonna mount the window with some snap rivets , the same ones that cames with the ante plus view, and all the others brands too. I found a web site of the manufacturers of those, and u can ask for free samples , 15 as the max, so i got them for free.
Im gonna paint the intirior of the case but i dont want to sand it all, prime it , and then top coat it, so i found a adhesion promoter from house of kolor, that says that works also on metal, its for hard to sand places , so im gonna give it a shot, i dont want to expend a couple handreds to powder coat it,
Somebody knows a good 120 mm fan , a very very quite one, im trying to do this projects as quiet as posible, i got an vantec stealth, at first it worked great, but after a couple days it started doing some little noises  , so if sombedy knows about a good one tell me

Tomorrow im gonna prime the front vezel and m aybe im gonna add a window to the door of the front vessel.

1 nitpic to an otherwise great job... don't take it too hard. It looks like the gap between the upper door and the lower fascia isn't quite consistent. I'm guessing it MIGHT be due to you not having the door actually snapped on to the rest of the front fascia?
Wow. I like that a LOT.
Star - tell you what, that's fugging close considering how hard hand-sanding a contour can be... it's too easy to accidentally sand away underneath your hand even when you think you're concentrating on an area 2" away.
Nice job Rex - love the Hex cutout in the door too. Makes mine look rough by comparison. :o

It looks like the gap between the upper door and the lower fascia isn't quite consistent. I'm guessing it MIGHT be due to you not having the door actually snapped on to the rest of the front fascia? That gap is because the pin and the hole of the door are painted also, and cause i gave it a lot of coats and i didnt sand neither the pin or the bottom of the hole it makes the door go up, but im gonna fix that , thanks for the feedbackB)
So whats going in that hole??
on the lower hole goes and 120 mm fan , with a 3d flame grill, you can see that in the 3rd page, and in the upper window , im gonna make a frame for it of 1/8 aluminum and gonna put some honey comb mesh inside , i think im gonna paint the frame with a chrome paint from alsacorp http://www.alsacorp.com/products/mirrachrome/mirra_prodinfo.htm , its quite expensive but i think its worth it^_^

u can get those at directron.com they have really good prices, and to do the cut off, what i done was , i made a template with autoCAD , i printed it on a label paper (i had too print it in 4 pages the side panel is too damn big ) and then with a scroll saw and some metal blades , and a bit of patience , maybe a lot if patience , then oncce the cut is done , i grabbed a dremel with a grindin drum and started grinding , and grinding , and grinding in order to make all those radiouses perfect

o now i see what star was trying to say , actually that gap isnt a gap, its the true grey color of the bezel itself, i sand it a bit more there so the plastic showed up, and cause it darker than the other it looks like a gap.
Problem solved^_^

Vonderful!!!
Now I understand. The sanding and finishing of the parts is great - lots of hard work required to get that, I know...
God I am a picky bastard: (take this as constructive criticism)... I knwo the hex hole in the door goes along the lines w\ the hex mesh, but I feel like it doesn't jive completely with the round hole on the bottom. Overall, its still a great mod and you obviously have an assload of talent, but its just something that jumps out at me in the over all design

Great Job. Love those 3d grills, brilliant idea :)
I do have to say, however, i agree with star on the cutouts on the bezel. The lower round hole is beautiful. It flows perfectly with the new curves of the front and compliments it perfectly. The hex cutout looks kinda out of place a little. Maybe if you could blend the edge of the hole into the door like you did down on the bottom one it would blend better.

out of place, i dont know , its maybe a little bit small compared with the 120mm round hole, but wait until i make the aluminum frame for it , its gonna be fastened by polilled hex screws , so i think it gonna look cool, and thru it you are gonna see the diplay of an aeromaster IIB) , just wait until the weekend. anyways thaks for the advice

well , as u must know , im a little short of money , so im thinking of selling the rexvolution 1.0 project , almost done project to some modder instrested in finishing it. The case includes the case , Laser cutted grills ( 4 8mm flame design , 3 80 mm rex mods design , 2 120 mm flame design with rex mods logo , one painted and finished with moders mesh ) all the complete hardware to mount all the fans , all stainless steel hex screws with washers , and nuts, rubber gromets , u channel molding , 2 blue uv 12'' ccfl , 1 5 '' ccfl , 3 80 mm antec orange uv reactive ultra quiet fans , one 120 mm vantec stealth fan , the almost done front vezel with a red vandal switch , the two acrylic windows ready to install with black removavle rivets , and every thing that i showed in the log.
I really don know how many hours of design an work i had putt in this thing but they were a lot , so i think the price will be somethink like $350 dolares , but negotiable , so please if there is any modder out there that thinks that he can finish it , please contact me at miamipato@hotmail.com thanks
