I've been meaning to put together a test PC for my work area. It's nice to have something that's easy to be moved when testing fans and such.

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and boght this mesh shelf thingy for $12.

I gutted my Craftstick airplane and spiked it on the floor, then transferred the parts to the shelf.

Aye that's what I thought zer0 ^^

I'd get a thick layer of cardboard undearneath it tbh.

If not cardboard get some of the plastic stuff that the mobo comes in. With a nice layer of the that foam stuff to.

And may be some cathod lights.

DO NOT use an anti static bag. I wouldnt use foam either in case the backside of the board got too hot, but you'd probably be fine. Cardboard, wood, acrylic ... you get the idea :thumb:

You could just mount the mobo on some plastic stand-offs attached to shelf.

It's on copper standoffs, I should've mentioned that.

Err... isn't the point to make it as shielded as possible? I'd use nylon for a test bed instead of metal stand-offs.

If it were me, I'd get a can of spray-on rubber and spray the whole rack to prevent any shorts whatsoever.
