New build

MSI KT8 Neo
AMD64 3400
1gig Corsair TwinX 3200LLPro (2 sticks of 512)
74gig Raptor
Augigy ES bulk
dvd writer
dvd drive
9700pro (carried over from old system.)

Powered up and entered the bios. Set date and time and then got graphics coruption.

Rebooted and it refuses to go into Bios.
Down to 1 stick of ram and graphcis card but still no luck.

From the 4 led diagnostic board it is crashing on, testing real time clock or Testing VGA Bios.

It can lock on either but 99% of the time its Testing Real Time Clock

Im scratching my head here guys. Anyone have an idea ???

Sorted.

Nic in the insulation of the cable to power button.

And I never actually removed te sound card. Thaught I had but it was still in there.

Time to RMA the sound card.

^^^ What he said.

Troubleshooting a new build can be a pita - I like to fire up with just mobo, cpu, ram, PSU & a gfx card before I do anything by way of installation into the case.

Glad you got sorted :)

This raptor drive is fast but fuck its loud. Even in the enclosure its louder than my baracuda V.

I think the issue is with 1Gb of memory ad, although I'm not 100% certain of this as I've not used the board myself.
