an absolutely stunning car..though I'm not a fan of the raked brake vents <_<..but a truly fantastic car. Fairly rare cars and thought some people might want a look and perhaps some more discussion on European vs. American cars..not that we haven't had enough of that.

So it's an American Porsche rip-off no? http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/huh.gif
Never heard of it before but I wonder if I've seen one and just written it off as some sort of Porka. http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/duh.gif

Not in the least, RUF has only had their cars imported by individuals into the U.S., they have a long history of tuning Porsches from the 70's, this is their first model. Let me see if I can dig up some more history..
Basically mechanic shop turned racing tuners dating back from the 40s. Begining in the 1970s took road-going 911s and turned them into trackready monsters.
One of the reasons I posted it was that these cars are incredibly rare over here. A lot of 930s (911 Turbos) that I've seen that claim to be RUFs are just RUF conversions which just taken an American-spec 930 and had some performance parts bolted on and a badge changed on the back. This however is one that was built and tuned at the RUF workshop in Germany.

Ah right, you got me when it didn't have Porsche in the title before - kinda cruelly exposes my lack of knwledge about cars. lol. http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif

At 1.0 Bar of boost the BTR puts out 425 horsepower
mommy!!
Better yet, tell the Mrs she can just leave all my stuff by the curb, cause when I show up in this 1974 Coupe (http://www.midwestperformancecars.com/inventory_detail.php?id=102&num_images=11.5&firstImage=oldmpcimages/3048_1.JPG) shes gonna call the divorce lawyer.. What about the 2nd bathroom and remodeling the kitchen?!, or installing new carpeting?!
but its my DREAM CAR! :wife:

Yeah I like that one too..though I'm not sure about the spoiler, not quite sure it belongs. 1976 930 spoiler..that was the year that the rear grill was enlarged to the flat portion of the spoiler to accomodate for airflow through the intercooler.
..at least I think, anyways.

I like bills choice a bit better than the RUF. Yes I love the horsepower of it but that 1970's porsche is absolutly stunning. and for the price a steal.
Its a shame though. Allot of 1970's and 1980's porsches are geting either beat up and junked or had them riped apart and a 350conversion between their rear fenders. Its nice to see such stunning cars in such good shape.
Remember people, dont junk them, restore them....<-car crazy
Forget about my earlier coment. I found what would suit my taste. http://www.midwestperformancecars.com/inventory_detail.php?id=142&num_images=14.5&firstImage=images/imagesForId142/01.JPG
