Ok, I dunno how many of you guys may already have seen this, but I just came across this work log on one of my infrequent visits to Bit-tech and wow. This guy has some skill. http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/eek.gif
If you have a spare 45 mins I advise you go from start to finish because the quality of some of the work is first class. It isn't complete yet but it has some excellent ideas, even if they do bear a resemblance to stuff from folks like G69T.
Anyway, here it is - Project "Blackout" by TribalOverkill (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=96301&page=1&pp=20) (warning: Picture heavy project log)

That's what impressed me so much. Whereas some people use CNC's that cost thousands, this guy is doing everything with pretty regular tools and a fiar bit of imagination; especially the way in which he fabricated the rad' boxes.
I haven't followed the projects at Bit' for a long time but this has really caught my eye. Funnily enough, it was the first project I went and looked at, I just picked one with 5 stars that I didn't recognise the name of. lol.
Good choice fill. http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/grin.gif

#I love G69T's work! He is amazing! I would kill to get my hands on those CNC's!!! But nothing beats making something with your own two hands:thumb:. I have some experience working in a machine shop. It was actaully a class and I was ahead of it. I was very impatient in his class. All I wanted to do was work. I didnt want to listen to his lectures, I just wanted to work. I was always there first and was always working before he got there. He would have to yank me off the machines to get my attention.

#Amen dude!
"fillip - That's what impressed me so much. Whereas some people use CNC's that cost thousands, this guy is doing everything with pretty regular tools and a fiar bit of imagination; especially the way in which he fabricated the rad' boxes."
#Thats the best part about it! Everything I use you can buy yourself at any hardware supplier. You can do all this. You just need to be as creative as possible. Don't settle for something,... be outrageous with your modding!
"Starbuck3733T - I've been following it on Gruntville... he's a good guy. A hell of a lot more patient than I would be..."
#This is true. I am patient with this puter and only with this puter! I have no patience! For anything! LOL. I take my time so I dont make mistakes. There are times where I can really move and still make my tolerances.
"fivecheebs - :jaw: Brilliantly ingenious.... i love it."
#I wouldnt go that far,... but ok:) Thanks.
"Marquee - I have also beening flowing this. I was posting while he was still putting up pics. This man has good mod on his hand and hopfully modder of the month or at least mod award."
#I really want to win something. I haven't really won anything in terms of a prize. I want to win some prizes! Maybe new hardware for possibly a new project! I want a certificate, plaque, or even a small trophy so I have proof. That would be really cool.
"Starbuck3733T - He dumps massive amounts of time into it, he's very dedicated, and talented. He gets my :thumb: any day of the week."
#And you get mine bro:thumb: . Totally.
"zer0 - wow hes awsome i mean WOW he realy shows how its possable to bend stuff with more or less normal tools that most modders should have"
#Again,... everything I do you can do. So what are you waiting for!

Welcome to WizD tribaloverkill  Why not come and Introduce yourself (http://www.wizdforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2185&goto=lastpost).
The way you use the tools you have avaliable to your advantage is ingenious (i have only read the first few pages so far). Its so easy to overlook a design idea because you dont think you have the tools to pull it off successfully. Your log reminds us to think "out of the box" so to speak, You deserve the praise :thumb:
I'm sure i wouldnt be the only one to enjoy seeing your work progeress here, but i understand how time consuming copying a worklog can be, so all i ask is that you post it in our Gallery when your done
:duh: how did i miss OC's post there! sorry man

WOW,... I totally missed page 2 here! Thanks guyz! I do plan on moving my log here so you guyz can leave your input and suggestions. I do ask for opinions alot and it sure does look like there are alot of opinions here! I am going ot go back to work now. I want these inner shields polished and mounted by the end of the day. Actually I know I'll have those done,... what I really want is to start working on the UV green accents:dremel:.

Wow, great work on that, I wish I had a nice workspace to work on my computer in, and the tools, oh yeah and the time. Since I've become a family man all my modding is 30 minutes here, 10 minutes there. I think you spent more time on that radiator assembly than I've spent on my whole computer! Great work and welcome to the site!
