i don't know if any of you have seen this but i think it's a computer where the components are sumberged in oil.

Did you forget the link?

I have seen it before, a few times actually. Also the flourinert cooled by liquid nitrogen submerged PC ... CRAZY! (almost as crazy as psykotic ;-) ) If you have the link post it though

Hey, I bet if I did that to my computer it would be great for making fries or doughnuts. My computer runs a bit hot. Mmmmmmmm.....doughnuts......Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

wasn't there a post about this somewhere on the forums, but of a different computer?
like of a guy testing it out, going through all the steps?

He's got plain old cooking oil in their, I'm no expert in fluid dynamics but I think it'll eat away at the components eventually (plastics and suchlike). Perhaps one of the other guys can elaborate better and further. I've seen the cooking oil thing done before a few times.

Yeah, it'll slowly react and contact with electric current will slowly degrade it as well, but what would worry me is the heat produced by the CPU could probably cause a much faster reaction.
