Just thinkin aloud... other than Zapwizard's Wood Ipod (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005/07/05/wood_ipod_zapwizard/1.html) have you seen any other Ipod mods?

small voice whispers.... How about a shell made of Billet?....

I've heard that some people have their PDAs and various other devices (including iPods) covered with press-on jewels (the cheap plastic cr*p). They pay big bucks to have it done too.http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/duh.gif

i dont care for ipods i have a creative zen extra and it has an aluminum cover and i have seen a guy paint his aluminum cover black and it looked realy nice.

After surfing, I see theres an over saturation of aluminum cases for ipods on ebay for under $20. I'll check out Creative Zen when I have some browse time. Thanks gang :-)

The zen's controls are poor and it cant match the iPod for sound quality. The iPod also has a huge amount of accessories available which make it more appealing. iTunes suxors though.

If your looking for an MP3 player though Bill i think the m:robe 100 would be the beast for you. I think Star would love it too! Any man who was a fan of knight rider would be attrcted to it.

I was looking at that m:robe a few months ago and I absolutely love it, I think it pisses all over the iPod for looks - the iPod is just too 'nice' and girly looking.

I bought one, well the gf bought one for me :wub:, and it was returned to the shop the next morning. All the reviews said it was quiet but would only be a problem on trains or busses. Well it was so quiet that at max volume i could have a normal conversation with my gf. :angry:


I swapped it for an iPod as it was the next best thing but i do really miss the m:robe as it was just so cool! After i returned it i discovered MP3Gain so theres a chance you could compensate for the low volume using it.
