There is a month til QuakeCon. I have a spot in the BYOC section. I WILL have a dang good looking computer to take lol. Thing is, I have 2 cases sitting here, and I can't decide which one to mod in time for QC2K5.

One is your standard Chenming Chieftec design

The other is an old Gateway case, which is a little ghetto but has some very nice features such as toolless PCI holders, toolless drive installation, rear 120 and I would be putting a 120 in the front anyway.

I am leaning towards the Gateway at the moment, as it is smaller and will be easier to cart around at QuakeCon. Also, I really don't have that much stuff to put in the huge Chenming (mobo, 1 dvd/r drive, 1 hdd, graphics card.)

Any thoughts? Help me out here!

I dunno. Gateway screams "my computer sucks, but it looks cool". But I agree, its more of a challenge. However, the chieftec conceals a little bit how bad (or good) your pc may be.

Only have a month? Trust me, I'm not sayin' this to pimp his stuff, but that Gateway's just a paintjob and some mnpctech parts away from being a hot rod. :dremel:

DC has my general idea. I plan on doin a 120 turbine mod to the front and I have like 80 percent of the materials I would need.

Now I'm just trying to decide whether it is gonna be black and UV red or black and UV green. I have the fans for both, I just need to buy the sleeving for either. Hmm.

I love modded chieftecs but i think the gateway will have a better impact.

I have a charcoal chieftec, the old style w\o the front ports, nice, clean, simple.
