Is it worth it? If I sand, prime, and paint the chasis is there anyway it would be decent?

If you want the most durable finish available.

Amen. Bill's got the bling factor too. the stuff I had done was straight-up tough coated crinkle black. over a year later of tear downs and build ups and it doesn't have a scratch on it, save for where I had to sand it down a bit because the tolerances got outta whack with the top panel and the drive racks (gotta watch that.)
Paint will stand up to abuse like this stuff! :thumb:

Action Powder Coating in long island (http://www.google.com/local?hl=en&lr=&q=action+powder+coating&near=11757&sa=X&oi=locald&radius=0.0&latlng=40688373,-73374493,16589843343904534349) is supposed to be a big outfit. Had a few car buffs say its a good place.

i dont know if i will get powder coating any time soon mainly because a mix between peralecent and candy isnt doable with powder coating.
(peralecent base coat with a candy top coat should make for a hella sexy paint job)

And expensive as well as being less durable.

Has anyone got any idea of prices for powdercoating a mid-tower dragon chassis in the UK?
I've found a big setup locally and they've got a £75 minimum charge

Nope, but I'm intrigued since I'll need to know myself soon.
