Thats right! Freedom2surf.net are offering ADSL at up to 8Mbit for only £24.99 with uncapped downloads. B)

It is only available in some exchanges atm but they have a large list of exchanges which will be 8mbit enabled by august. The rest of country is planned to be covered by christmas. If your really lucky you might be in an area eligible for 24mbit which from what i can gather is the same price as the 8!

Full details here (http://www.freedom2surf.net/adsl/homeuser.php).

The url DRB entered was a bit messed up with two 'http' in there. I've fixed it now. Though I cant check if i can get the service since i dont have a BT phone line.

Yea ....

Warpoc, just had the bulldog 8mb service installed. His line wont take the full 8MB without dropping out very often though so he spent some time with the support staff who gradually turned down the connection until it was solid. Hes currently getting 5mb down and 600k up iirc.

Makes me sick as im still on 1/2 mb service thats the same price as if i was a new customer for a 1MB service. They say they will upgrade me by the end of the summer or i can pay 15 quid to get it done early.

IIRC B/ham is the best place for this ultra fast service.

It keeps doing that! I even double checked when i entered the link that it only had one http:// but it seems to automatically add it in.

Can't get it here, max is 2mb on ADSL and I've already got 2mb cable.

Certainly a good price/speed, it's the same price as my 2mb B)

Anyone know if freedom2surf are any good? I might pre-register and migrate from Nildram although it will be at least christmas before my exchange is upgraded by the looks of it.

If you read the faq it will tell most people that they can only get 2mb just now. Once your exchange is upgraded they retest your line and get you going at the quickest speed your stable at, much like bulldog did with Squelch.

LOL. Wouldn't be so sure about that, I have a Birmingham post code, not too far away from the city, but you have to be bang in the central district to get the top range Bulldog setup afaik. I heard that the best place for Bulldog was London since last year when I first discovered Bulldog they were only offering the 8mb service in London, no where else at that time.

I got a temporary ban from adslguide.org :o)

I used to be a pipex customer and the pipex forum on adslguide is populated with sad acts who call themsleves the 'monster raving pipex party'. Basically they are a bunch of pipex fan boys who bombard anyone who dares criticise pipex with posts about how great they are how their pipex connections are always perfect.

Pipex was alright to me until they started routing all my packets via Paris and it would take me ages to connect. Their technical support was useless, it took about an hour to get through and they never did anything when you did get through. I posted on adslguide to see if anyone else was having the same problems and looney party went mad and said it was my fault?!

Natrualy enough after a day of this i told them what i thought and got banned. :duh:
