In the process of filing the cuts I made for my project. Here's the pictures if you need reminding :)

I got this small file from a local shop (£4 ) and the damn thing got stuck in one of the corners and snapped (£4 is alot when you get £5 a week) I tried the edges with 240 grit sand paper but I just can't alter the shape of the cuts (some are slightly wavy) I'll ask to borrow a better file at school tomorrow but does anyone have any tips?

Buy or borrow a set of needle files, they come in a range of shapes round, half round, flat, triangular etc etc. and they are cheap.

As with all tools don't use too much force, let the tool do the work for you and make sure all tools are sharp, you can do more damage through forcing a blunt tool than you can with a sharp one.
Also you could try finishing off with emery cloth.

Better still ask if you can take it in to school with you, as a project, and use their tools.......even cheaper !

I got one of the 'Electric Multi-Tool's (Dremel equiv) £12.99 from www.tchibo.co.uk, stunning bit of kit for the money. Comes with everything you'd ever need.
