My luck this winter has been poor wehn it comes to sickness. I spent my xmas vacation from work taking care of my GF and daughter who were both infected by this god awful flu that's floating around. And yes, they both had the shot. This is time that I had hoped to spend working on Goliath. I did actually get 2 days vacation at the end of things when Jen (the GF) got better, but I spent them recovering from a week of playing Mr. Mom.

Lesson: APPRECIATE YER WOMAN, and the time she GIVES you to mod!

I've got all the copper needed to complete goliath's waterblocks, at least I think so. I even bent up the middle section, and cut one of the plates to size (I ordered them to size, but I ordered the wrong length. oops!) and I have the lovely evenings of this week to work on things, and took a day off on tuesday...

WHY. BECAUSE I COULDNT STAY AWAY FROM THE TOILET for more than FIVE MINUTES.

I could have been modding, but I lacked the energy to do so. I still feel nauceous and like I'm going to crap myself any second, but i've been feeling like this for 2 days now. Not to mention the awful heartburn that I'm getting because I can't make myself eat right (no appetite).

So I have another free night to mod, which I wont, because im exhuasted from forcing myself to go to work. I'll just vegitate and shiver on the couch and pray I'm better in the morning. Ughhhhhhhh.

Im done ranting now.

PS: best use of the puke face post icon EBAR!

Well, I just ate half a bag of chex mix. I think it took care of some acid. That and the 1/4" bottle of pepto, and 4 tumms. And thank BajanDude (Ars) for bringing me Codine pills from his last journey from the UK to the US for ubercon. Codine = good stuff, you UK/Irish types have all the good meds OVER THE COUNTER! I figure if its approved for the good ciitzens of the UK, then my yankie stomach can take it.

And it does. I think I'll go eat another, as the first is wearing off.

Now I still have to rehyrdate myself... Water just tastes... so ... watery. And teh 7up doesn't go flat fast enough.

get the 7up bottle and shake it then release the gas then do it again, two or three times of doing that usually makes it go flat quite quickly, plus its fun trying to close it quick enough before it spills everywhere (well it is if your aiming at someone else!).

Good advice GM, but I've got it in cans :(

Feeling much better today, still not perfect, but definitly better.

I think my GI is starting to work properly again and ridding itself of the massive amounts of gas stuck in it (I've felt 500 kilos fatter the past few days).

I woke up at 2:30 this morning in pain, 20 minutes on the toilet later I felt better.

Read no further unless you like gross stuff
My stomach: gurgle gurgle gurgle:
Torso: rattle rattle rattle
Kabooooooom toot tooot toooooooooot
Repeat. Like 8 fucking times repeat.

Ugh.

I hope this is all over soon.

Cheer up Star... It can only get better.

Old Irish cure for the tummy.
Take 1 measure of brandy and 1 measure of Port and drink. (no sipping allowed)
Works wonders.

If you ever have anyone going to germany or Switzerland pick up some underberg, its amazing stuff and a definate must have in medicine closet.

Hahaha... Esp you Darv.

Knipex: if this persists whilst im at the woman's house, i'll have to give that a try. She's got port in stock, not sure about brandy... would whiskey work?

All in all i am starting to feel better - i've been 'able' (meaning I want to) drink a lot more fluid today. When my appetite comes back i'll be 100%.

Now if I can only sell that last darn MAX1668 prototype!

Whiskey while tasty stuff should never never be mixed with port if for no other reason that it would be a sin against god and all that is good about alcahol  (unless fo course its scotch then its OK ;) )

Also it wont work.

Now if you can lay your hands on some potieen that would work on its own. Kills all known bugs dead.

Dunno how I missed the alcohol related post but Knipex, that Underberg... is that like Cummel(sp?)?
I remember they used to keep little bottles of that in a bandolier (bullet belt) in one of my old locals...
I forgot that that was what it was for.

Not sure pug as I never heard of it.

The underburg tastes like crap has a kick like a mule but works miricals. Got me through more than one day of flights and trains.
