ok how do you fit a cooling block onto the northbridge of a p4 board, as there are no holes in the board? and before anyone says it, no i won't drill some :p
p.s pugs and mnpctech's avatars are really quite sinister!

not sure if it helps, but here's how i did a zalman NB HS on my IC7. Cut off 3 pins in the corners and ground the base down to the thickness of the stock HS.

i was meaning a water cooled block, and from looking around i only see people attaching them with thermal adhesive, or something to do with cable ties (couldn't figure that one out, plus it sounded a bit scary just attaching a block with cables!)

Back in the pre WIZD forums days. Pug was working on HexaDragon and posted a pic of himself on Arstechnica all geared up for painting.
in an earlier thread here (http://www.wizdforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=28&st=30&#entry639) I sort of reminded him of it..
Nothing more sinister than that I'm afraid.

I have a couple of different types of CP4 NB block - I'm pretty sure that the Type1 will do you but I'd have to check...
It'd be nice to get a "compatibility thread" together eventually.
