2 monitors with my lappy

im using a program called synergy to use both my desktop and my laptop at the same time. its not exactly like having 2 monitors but its prety close. the biggest diffrence bewteen this and having 2 monitors on one computer is you are actualy using the other computer and dont just have an extention of your desktop.

yeah, that thing is pretty neet. I'm going to see if I can get it working here in the office. my wonder is can I take a machine from my office to my home and have stuff continue working?

its prety simple

intsall synergy on all the cmputers you want to use.
start synergy on them all and choose the master comptuer with the radio button in the senter of the dialog (only on the master computer)

not clock advanced on all the comptuers you wish to use and look under screen name (you will need this for every computer including master)

now on the master comptuer click add and enter the screen name do this for eatch comptuer you plan on using.

now select a computer from the list and configure everything.

for example i have crappy lappy to the left of dark magic and dark magic to the right of crappy lappy...
