Well I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult or too expensive to do but...
A Xaser!!! :o They have to be the most ugly computer cases in the world. But if you like it then its your decision!

I quite like the xasers
I don't know why on earth you're asking if you could bolt an exos to the top... of course you can, that's what they're for.
I reckon you should try to get it INSIDE the case. For one, external bits just plain suck. But more importantly, getting it inside would invlove modding, and that's what we like 'round these 'ere parts.
Now get to work! :h34r:

That link just needed a capital F and a forward slash - http://kickass.8bit.co.uk/Photos/Fotos/
Don't have time to check your pics out right now but I like this approach (http://www.aqua-computer-systeme.de/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl?board=H3;action=display;num=1067460348;sta rt=0) over Koolance's, personally. :)

Christ that A.Q. setup is sweet.
havent had time to translate it, but is it custom built or is it sold as a unit?

rite if youve seen the exos, you will know what i mean, and if youve seen the Koolance pre-fitted cases, you will know what i mean.
ok on the pics, the koolance is a box, with a bit out the top for the fans and the LCD etc, i want to keep that bit, but hide the rest under, inside my case. so like the radiatior instead of being mounted inside the alu box, mount it under the top of my xaser.
any more ideas and sorry about the link :|

I think it's a prototype but afaik, further development is pending the release of the Aquaero (http://www.aqua-computer.de/content/aquaero.htm)
Translated version (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.aqua-computer.de/content/aquaero.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3Daquaero%2Bproject%2Bpage%26hl%3Den%26 lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26sa%3DG)
DK - I can't see why it couldn't be done.
You could drill out the rivets and save the top panel of the case and just fabricate a new enclosure out of alu or something.

yeah ok, cheers 4 that the main thing im worried about is how the fans will be in effect sucking hot air from through the case to the radiator... so any ideas on how i could do this bearing in mind it HAS to be in that position otherwise the mod wont work as the fans in the top

/___\ shaped peice has the fans and cannot be put anywhere but the top. So if theres some feedback on that, any ideas there? i really fancy doing this mod then i can call it a modded pc lol

Yes but if the fans are sat on top of the case in the shaped box they will be pulling air up and out of the case aswell as pulling any heat away from the rad that will be positioned beneath the fans but inside the main chassis.
I wouldnt have thought that the fact that the air you will be pulling through the rad will be warm, is going to have a massive bearing on its performance, but i could be wrong.

case temps are hotter than room temprature if i look at it that way, and they are also hotter than my cpus so how can i feed warmer air through and expect to cool it lower?

The basic 'frame' of teh Xaser 3 is the same as all other Chenming (Chieftec/antec, many others) derived cases. You should be able to drill out the rivets holding the top of the koolance on, do the same for the xaser, and do a direct swap.
Theoretically ;)

confused, i basicly need to cut through the top panel in like a square shape. as the box holding the rad is under the unit with fans, which can be removied making the rad bare! so then i would have to cut the top panel right?
also another lil thing to think about, the top drive on the xaser 3 chemmy, is open, blank, for fan cntrlr.. so i am gonna have to also have to see if that AND the rad will fit otherwise i will have a blanking plate on a place which is obviously supposed to have a fan cntrlr or something..
