*although I do not condone modifying the body of an NSX in any way what so ever*

They did some nice work, but they ruined a really nice car imho.

Beautiful job, but all that work just to produce a fake? What a waste of a great car.

I know - the $80k on the car, and then $20k on body work just isnt worth it... especially since the car you started with is way better than the crap he ended up with.

I'd like to know what they sculpted it out of, looks like it could be useful for modding... :D

A cheap way of getting an F, but I like the original better

it looks like some kind of high density foam that you can sculpt. Ive seen it used on some case mods.

Seen this b4.
And the nsx is not that gr8 of a car to begin with IMHO.
A corvette usualy subdues these things on any roads. Just read through the corvette forums and the nsx forums.
I read a dude braging about beating a totaly stock corvette by a bumper because he has used a 150shot of nitrus oxide.
And having a v6 honda pose as a ferrari is a sin initself. Those guys should be ridiculed for the idea but comended on the work.

Straight line highway/street speeds isn't always what its about ;)
Oh yeah they totally wasted their time/money to make this. Why not design something different, not just copy something else.

Granted but you have to realise the nsx isnt better handling than a vette either.
IMHO the nsx is one of the worst bang for the buck cars ever made.
Then again I am a muscle car head.

And that my friend is why you and I will never agree on cars.
Me I like cars that handle. My Westfield would have run rings around any corvette on Irish roads. Straight line speeds counts for Shit in my book, its all about how they handle and pull coming out of a bend. For that you need light weight, perfectly balanced cars with a low centre of gravity, a proper suspension setup (and despite what you may think that does not mean rock hard suspension).
Give me an NSX any day of the week.

Im curious Knipex? Have you driven any vette from c4 and up?
I have seen them run circles around porsches and also fill the road with tiresmoke.
But I guess your rite, you and me will never agree on cars. Europeans and americans have difernt styles of driving and cars. But I live by one theory, If a driver is skilled enough a car with large grunt can shine.
Also me being anti honda is one thing that may impair my judjement.
But one thing is that you have my respect for your tastes in cars.

An NSX is not a drag car no matter what people say - Its a touring/road race car. Just look at the JGTC500 class... full of NSX's making about(limited to) 500Hp, and they fly! Of crouse the high-reving NSX V-6 is no match for the Vette in a stright line, and thats the reason for it... the high revs. Keeping the car at the 8-10k rpm range is for keeping the tourqe & pullin through a corner, not on a drag. PLus, a stock NSX only makes about 280(?)Hp... not the 350+ a Vette does ^_^ - I respect the Vette for quite a few reasons, but road racing isnt one, the NSX is a better competitor in my eyes.
You may also be a drag kinda guy, but I prefer my road races/autocross... just appeals to me more, and thats why I'm defending(kinda) the NSX. PLus I know a guy with one that has won numerous event, beating out Boxters, 911's, Vettes, Vipers, Imprezas and a number of other cars. The NSX is made or the corners not the straight-a-ways.

Seen nsx's do ok but in turing car racing they dont do to gr8, bmw's seem to do best with their m series bmw's.
But your correct I am a drag kinda guy but I know how to corner as well. I have a decent feel for a car and vettes are just as good as the driver is. Point of my mentioning the nsx guys gloating because it took them 150shot of nitrus to beat a stock corvette was against a c5 but I dont remember what the guy had precisely, he could have had a realy nice c4 witch has a smoother tourque curve.
Also a fiew months back I was driving with the fam upstate NY and i saw a c4 vette doing about 85-90 through the spageti like corners of hunter mountain withought ever having any problems. I saw him wizing by and lader on I found the car parked near a diner where I stoped. I asked the guy about the handling and he said the car is actualy a hand full to hadle but once you get used to it its very predictable.
oh and also for 80grand I could just as easily buy a lingenfelter vette with a 427 pushing out 725hp of street legal goodnes.

NSX's are more balanced though - mid-engine, almost 50/50. Plus a Vette is HEAVY^_^ which makes it a bit hard to handle(untill you get to know it). But if you read reviews from Road&Track and other mags of the same - they rank pretty equal. Each has its own +/- ... the Corvette to be an all around sports car, and the NSX to be the road racer... The corvette may handle pretty damn good, but the NSX beats it there. Sure the driver has a big effect, but it ultimatly comes doew to the car.
Nice find 2J.
Well, I'm gonna go against the grain here and play devil's advocate...
Sho'nuff, it was a pretty nice car but what if your mate/neighbour had bought the same model? :p
Seriously though, if you're gonna go to the trouble of completely reskinning an NSX in lighter-weight fibreglass... why stick to the stock shape?
You surely couldn't say no to having the end result parked in your drive.
I'm guessing it's a customer/bodyshop deal... If so, fair play to them for pulling it off for him.
I was impressed, anyway. B)

It's definately some fine work. But it pales in comparison to this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9843&item=4532163833&rd=1) replica of a Ferrari. B)

I wont even compare it to the c6 but the c5 smoked the nsx around tracks anyday of the week.
Perfectly balanced may be your forte but any real driver knows how to deal with a nose heavy car.
In retrospec I have to agree with pug on the craftsmanship, I am impressed by it but im not impressed by the choice in car or the decision of making a replica. Oh and enzo is rolling in his grave while lamborghini is laughing at him in his tractor.
