i recently started using the folding@home screensaver its a program that uses your cpu when your not using it to preform tests on protines and helping to discover how and why they fold (i think i got that right dont hold me to it tho)

i figured it was a better investment than seti@home witch looks for aliens (even if we found them good ol GW would be shure to have them nuked...)

anyways check it out http://folding.stanford.edu/

I've seen folding on some other forums before, I did it on one computer, though I never really got used to the idea that my cpu would be going 100% 24/7. The teams get pretty competitive, we could start a WizD folding team like a lot of the other computer-based forums.

Another good team is 10002 which Arctirus folds for, more good guys there too.

I'm folding for Bit-Tech ATM.

BTW the console client is more efficient and can be set up as a service. B)

I have my machines crunching on Grid.org for nearly four years with a few diversions to other dist-comp projects.
