Hi,

this is just a request for some information. I currently have the above motherboard and i am considering to purchase the above heatsink. The only thing is, that while i know they are compatible, on thermalrights website, it says that the capacitos must be tilted to allow the motherboard to fit.

Does anyone have the above combo of motherboard and heatsink? if anyone does, please advise exactly how much i need to tilt the caps, or even if anyone has had any experience with tilting caps on this board in general.

Much appreciated

I've bent caps before, almost leveling them with the board and haven't had problems. If you're concerned, maybe try the copper XP-90? The aluminum one works really well.

I had a cap on my old BX6r2 that used to get clobbered by my old Ricoh CDRW to the point that it actually fell off one day and I had to solder it back on. :o

By memory, it used to bend up to about 25 - 30° without issue tho'.

Welcome to WizD btw.

Many thanks for your help guys.

I think i'll be settling for the XP-90Al. Copper one is just a tad heavy. Even mailed thermal right about the motherboard issue n they said it depends on the batch - some caps are soldered right up to the board and others have space left between. I think i was one of the unlucky ones with caps soldered right to the board.

But again, thanks.
