Thanks MNPCTECH_Guy!
As you all know, this idea came from the book/movie by Steven King "Christine". I thought horror fans and old car nuts would like it.
The one thing that is missing from the pictures is this.. the worklog. Christine started out as an IBM PC, dual 5 1/4" floppy drive case with that nice old 8086 processor and no harddrive (it was booted by floppies). The entire front end of the pc was fabricated from sheet metal, the hood was cut out (and has working hinges, with a prop rod), painted with real automotive paint, and to start her there isn't a button...she has a starter from an actual 1958 plymouth fury. You need the keys to turn this pc on.
Also from that angle you are missing this. She is watercooled and the radiator is placed right were a real car's radiator is located. The lights do light up from a switch in the rear. The DVD-RW is stealth mounted behind the grill.
She has a Asus A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard, AMD +1700XP @ 2.4 Ghz, 1.5GB of DDR 3200, a (now) 80GB Serial ATA HDD, DVD-RW, Radeon 9600XT, 480Watt TruBlue PSU, Watercooled by Thermaltake, and last but not least, an actual auto car alarm...that works.
I have better pictures here, not to mention that Christine is also their Featured Rig...The work log of christine is also available in their forums...

PChertz.com, an online mod/pc parts store like christine so much that they have sponsored her for any case mod contests I would like to attend. Great prices, and you actually talk to a human when you want to call in orders!

Hi Brian. Welcome to WizD. B)
Classic mod, I love it.
I'm gonna have to find time to look out pics of how you have the rad in there. I'd love to do a car-derived mod if I ever went away from standard enclosures (much more my thing than modelling clay or sculpting).
Even if I'd thought of doing one though, Christine is a killer theme to follow, literally.
Kudos dude. B)
